THE 413 ROAST DIFFERENCEAt 413 Roast our beans serve a dual purpose. Not only do we help you serve delicious, high-quality coffee to your customers and clients, we also pour proceeds back into the community to support mental health needs. 413 Roast is a partner and extension of Coffeehouse Five and its mission to reduce barriers to mental health services.
A great cup of coffee with a great mission is something to share! If you operate a coffee shop, cafe, restaurant, business or non-profit organization, we'd love to partner with you to meet your coffee needs. |
OUR UNIQUE AIRBED ROASTING METHOD
We use an airbed roasting process to produce bold, clean, and smooth coffees that are well-balanced, and devoid of the bitter and burnt qualities often attributed to subpar coffee.
A heated stream of air is forced up through the beans, causing them to levitate and removing the chaff, dirt and other green coffee debris from the roasting chamber. This prevents these impurities from burning and affecting the flavor of the beans. And the rapid rate of heat transfer through convective heat ensures the beans are roasted, not toasted, heated evenly from the inside out, allowing for full development of a bean's individual characteristics and flavors without the danger of charring or scorching. Shorter roast times at lower temperatures preserve more of the natural sugars and sweetness of the bean.
The end result? A bold, clean, and smooth cup that is well-balanced, and devoid of the bitter and burnt qualities often associated with brewed coffee. Try it for yourself at one of our locations, or purchase beans for your business or church.
